Credit consumption varies by model. Dynamic image models estimate credits from quality, resolution, reference images, and selected options, then round the final charge up to the next multiple of 2 credits.
Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2, and Seedream 5.0 Lite all use request-level estimated credits. We combine quality, resolution, reference images, and selected options into one estimate, then round the final charge up to the next multiple of 2 credits.
Charges are estimated conservatively so the displayed credits stay ahead of provider-side cost changes. If upstream reserved usage is higher than the local estimate, the safer value is used.
Higher output quality, larger resolution tiers, more reference images, and optional search / reasoning features all increase the estimated credits before rounding.
The editor always shows the latest estimated credits before you submit. Detailed internal billing factors are not shown on every request unless they change the user-facing estimate.
